Supported Decision Making

Full Description

Join us for a monthly training series, in partnership with the Developmental Disabilities Council, on various tools that can be used for Supported Decision Making. This training series is for persons served, families and professional staff.

The 2022 Supported Decision Making Series occurs on the fourth Tuesday of every Month from February to October of 2022. 1 Social Work CEU is pending. Session Topics for the 2022 series include:

  • March 22: How Power of Attorneys can be used for Supported Decision-Making 
  • April 26: ABLE Accounts, Recent Changes, How to Start One and What They Can Be Used For 
  • May 24: Special Needs Trusts: What is it and how to use if for Supported Decision-Making
  • June 28: The Intersection of Employment and Public Benefits: Can I Work and keep my Public Benefits? 
  • July 26: Using Supported Decision-Making in Medical Situations 
  • August 23: Types of Assistive Technology That Support Community Inclusion and Interdependence 
  • September 27: Supporting People Through the Guardianship Termination Process 
  • October 25: Toolkit: New Tools and Resources to Support Decision-Making
